Department of Dentistry has been established for the academic year 2022-2023 due to an urgent need in Anbar Governorate. Al-Maarif University College has established the department after conducting studies, and gathering material and human capabilities required by the newly established department due to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Department of Computer Science was established in 2001. The department prepares the students to specialize in various fields of computer science and qualified the graduated students to work in public and private sectors in the fields of programming and teaching computer science as well as computer programing and maintenance, programming systems that are used to manage institutions, companies, commercial centers, communication systems, transportation. The department follows the course system in the study and offers morning and evening studies.
The Department of Computer Engineering Techniques was established in 2008 – 2009. The department considers one of the distinguished departments at Al-Maarif University College. The college was keen to hire lecturers known for their competence and scientific abilities in engineering to be the department’s staff. Graduates are specialized in computer technologies and are capable of designing electronic circuits and dealing with computer components, networking, and programming. The department follows the semester system in the study and offers morning and evening studies.
The Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2017-2018. The department is distinguished by a competent teaching staff of doctoral and master’s degree holders teaching in various civil engineering disciplines. The Department prepares the graduates to design, plan, build, and operate elements of Structures and Infrastructures systems. Students are required to complete Laboratory Assignments, field Projects, summer training, as well as milestone graduate projects.
The Department of Arabic Language has been founded since the official declaration of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued (561) in 18th Rabiah AlAoual 1414 H, in accordance with 4/4/1993. The Department of Arabic Language is considered one of the core bricks of the very foundation of AlMaarif University College. This department has gathered many notable figures in Arabic Language experts from inside and outside Iraq.
